Adam was born and raised in Portland, Oregon along with his twin sister, younger brother. After studying abroad in Cuernavaca, Mexico and graduating from Oregon State University in 2007, Adam decided he wanted to pursue a career in film and television. Although unexperienced in this field and not quite 6 feet tall (which was the modeling requirement at the time), Adam leveraged his experience in Parkour to land a sports and lifestyle modeling agent named SLU Agency. Concurrent with his commercial pursuits, Adam embarked on a journey to become a professional Parkour athlete which he hoped would also open doors in the industry.
Adam found small roles in commercials and runway exhibitions for Nike, Adidas, and other companies, but his most prominent successes came from Parkour. In 2008 he founded one of the USA’s first Parkour gyms (Revolution Parkour), and in 2009 he founded the world’s first Parkour clothing company (Take Flight). These both grew to prominence in the Parkour industry, and in 2011 Adam sold Revolution Parkour and moved to Paris, France to work with the founder of Parkour David Belle.
Adam learned Parkour under Belle and served as Belle’s brand manager while pursuing film work in France. Due to unexpected circumstances Adam was not able to work alongside Belle in, “The Family,” starring Robert De Niro or, “Brick Mansions,” starring Paul Walker, but Adam returned home in 2013 where soon after he landed a recurring role in the NBC drama “Grimm.” He had no formal acting experience or training at this time.
Inspired by his time on set, Adam joined an acting class where he soon fell in love with the craft. His passion, enthusiasm, and natural talent led to a handful of roles in small productions including his first lead in the film, “Falling Through Darkness,” where he played a PTSD suffering war vet and a second lead in the period film called, “RAT,” where he played an undercover cop infiltrating the mob. In 2017 Adam joined SAG-AFTRA where he has acted in national commercials, television shows, and and multiple prominent roles including, “The Water Man,” directed by David Oyelowo, "Law & Order: Organized Crime" where he acted across from Chris Meloni, the soap opera "Beyond the Gates" on CBS, and the upcoming film "Liz Here Now" starring Aunjanue Ellis.
A true student of the craft, Adam admits that he loves being on set but that he probably enjoys being in acting class even more. He is heavily trained in on-camera acting, improv, and comedy. He has also trained in theater, sketch comedy, and he does Shakespeare as well, but he admits that working on Shakespeare is “just for fun.” Throughout the years Adam has trained at various acting studios including The Actor’s Lab, Scott Rodger’s Studios, Brooke Totman Studios, and The Studio NW, and he has studied the teachings of Stanislavski, Adler, Chekhov, Strasberg, Meisner, and many other lesser-known coaches as well.
Adam is trilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and French, and he relishes the chance to act in other languages as well as, of course, bring his Parkour experience to his roles.
When Adam is not acting, he can be found writing, playing a wide variety of sports, and spending time with close friends and family. He loves people, and he admits that deep down his desire to act is supported strongly by his curiosity and his desire to see life through other people’s perspectives. Adam believes that the coolest job in the world would be to travel the globe making films, but also probably tied for world’s-best-job would be being a stay-at-home dad. He hopes that in the near future he can do both.
During the COVID shutdown from 2020-2022 Adam pursued other means to grow his mind and experience, and in January 2022 he was hired by Nike to be a Sr. IBP Manager in the Asia Pacific Latin America.
